I was so flattered when Meghan and Chris asked me to take photos of their family again for holiday cards! We met up at Yates Mill for some fun around the mill and historic buildings. Lawson has grown so much in just a couple months and it was so fun chasing him around the park. Meghan and Chris, have fun with your adorable energy-filled toddler and happy (early) holidays to everyone!
Read MoreI'm interrupting the regularly scheduled post today because I'm just SO EXCITED to share these pictures today! I know Allison from my day job and I was so happy when she asked if I'd photograph her beautiful family! We made arrangements to meet up at the arboretum in Raleigh one afternoon, only to discover when we were halfway there that it was smack in the middle of the NC State Fair and just a few blocks away from the fairground. Talk about a traffic and parking nightmare! But Allison and her family were so laid back and we had a fantastic afternoon on the great lawn and running around the plants. Thank you Allison for the chance to chase your beautiful and fun family around for an afternoon!
Read MoreMeghan, Chris, and kiddo Lawson are so hip and fun, and so when they asked for an urban family portrait session I knew we had to find a place just as cool as them. After a little bit of sugar from the cake smash we rounded up the troops in a fresh change of clothes for some pictures in downtown Raleigh. The City Market area was great with the cobblestones, brick paths, and murals. It was so fun hanging out with these three for an afternoon!

Sugar, baby, and a new backdrop stand? Oh yeah, this was more than a sugar rush, this was a "I love my side job" kinda rush. Happy first birthday, Lawson! You really are one cool kid.
Read MoreI was so excited when a couple of my good friends announced their engagement! Seriously, these two are awesome - I know them from work and from running groups. These two rockstars helped me get through several races from my first half marathon at OBX to the Krispy Kreme Challenge to the Not So Normal half marathon to this year's Tar Heel 10 Miler. So when they asked me if I'd photograph their engagement session I was so stoked! They decided to set their engagement photos at the American Tobacco Trail, which is important to them as a place they frequently use for training runs. In one section of the trail there's a scenic bridge over Interstate 40 where Travis proposed to Kristen, so one evening we headed there to do a little celebration via photos. The highlights are below! Congratulations, Travis and Kristen!

So without further ado, I introduce to you Stella Rose!
